Greetings, human.

Welcome to this blog. I must applaud you for taking time out of your day to read this.

So what's up with the name of the blog? Well, according to the Scottish philosopher David Hume, there exists a "real" world of "Is" and an "abstract" world of "Ought". You, the reader, are familiar with both worlds, though you may not have defined the two. It is the job of the philosopher to understand the nature of these two worlds and their relationships. And what better place to do that than an observatory of course?
